Chicken Kiev with Cantonese
Sweet Chilli Sauce

Ingredients

•• 4 Boneless, skinless chicken breast fillets

•• 1 Egg, beaten

•• Plain flour

•• Breadcrumbs

fillings

•• 2 Tbsp Cantonese Sweet Chilli Sauce

•• 1 Tbsp Butter

•• 2 Tbsp Mature cheddar cheese (granted)

 

Method

  1. Make a deep slit lengthways through each chicken breast.
  2. Mix Cantonese sweet chilli sauce and the fillings ingredients, and stuff into the slit of the chicken.
  3. Dip each breast in beaten egg then in flour then in egg again, finally in the breadcrumbs.
  4. Place on a baking tray and cook for about 30 minutes at 180°C / Gas 4. Check chicken is cooked right through and that the juices run clear before serving.
