Poach Pear in White Wine
with Plum Sauce

Ingredients

•• 4 Medium pears

•• 10g Dry Chinese orange peel (Optional)

•• 300ml White wine

•• 200g Sugar

•• 10g Cinnamon stick

•• 500ml Water

•• 6 Tbsp Lee Kum Kee Plum Sauce

 

Method

  1. Peel and de-core the pears. Soak dry Chinese orange peel in water and set aside.
  2. Boil cinnamon stick and sugar in water until light golden colour.
  3. Lower the heat and add in pear, white wine, Plum Sauce and cook until
    pear becomes tender and soft for approximately 10 mins then serve.
